Are you passionate about shaping the future of health and care in Lambeth? Want to make a lasting impact?

Join Lambeth Together as a Board Lay Member. Be the driving force behind our strategic decisions and contribute to making a tangible difference for the population of Lambeth.

It’s an exciting time as we start to realise some of our aspirations and outcomes of Our Health, Our Lambeth – Lambeth Together health and care plan 2023-28.

As a Board member you’ll play a key role in helping us achieve ambitious goals.

Due to our Lay member retiring after completing their term, we are looking to recruit a new member to our Board. The Lay Member will share responsibility with other Board members for ensuring that the Lambeth Together Care Partnership exercises its functions effectively, efficiently, economically, and with good governance.

What does being a Lay Member involve?

As a Board Lay Member, you will:

  • Have Board level experience that helps to ensure that appropriate systems of internal control are in place for all aspects of governance, including financial and risk management
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals
  • Provide an independent view of the work of Lambeth Together that is removed from the day to day running of the Partnership
  • Ensure that Lambeth Together Care Partnership has appropriate arrangements in place to secure public and patient involvement and ensure the focus of discussion is impartial

Additional duties include:

  • Chair of Lambeth Together Assurance Group
  • Chair of Lambeth Together Primary Care Committee
  • Member of the Lambeth Together Equalities Group

Who should apply?

We are keen to encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds who reflect the diversity of our borough, as we are currently under-represented at Board level.

It is desirable that applicants live in Lambeth or have strong connections. However, we also welcome applications from those living in the surrounding areas if they have relevant experience.
