New All Age Autism Strategy for Lambeth

Lambeth’s new All Age Autism Strategy 2024 to 2027, sets out seven key priorities to make our borough a better place for autistic people.

Lambeth Council has set out its new approach to supporting autistic people of all ages and their families, and emphasises on the importance of understanding, acceptance and inclusion and is part of our commitment to becoming a borough of equity and justice. It shows how the council will work with its partners and the local community to provide support and services that give autistic people in our borough a chance to thrive at home, in education, at work and in society.

Cllr Jacqui Dyer, Co-Chair of the Lambeth Together Care Partnership Board and Cabinet Member for Healthier Communities said:

“I’m delighted that Lambeth’s new All-Age Autism Strategy for the next three years is now live. This approach will provide a vital lifeline for our autistic residents and their families and reinforces our commitment to becoming a borough of equity and justice.

“It sets out our seven priorities to ensure we focus on the areas where support is needed most. By providing essential support services, we ensure equal opportunities for them to thrive at home, in work or education, and in all aspects of their lives.

“Working with our partners and communities has been key to developing a strategy that truly understands and meets the needs of autistic individuals in our borough, ensuring comprehensive support every step of the way. We will continue to work with our partners and communities to make the strategy a reality.”
