Lambeth Together: creating a healthier borough
Earlier this week we were delighted to announce Andrew Eyres’ appointment as Strategic Director: Integrated Health and Care for Lambeth Together in a new joint role between Lambeth CCG and the London Borough of Lambeth.
This joint appointment demonstrates our commitment and ambitions for partnership working in the borough to improve the health and wellbeing of Lambeth people.
Lambeth Together is the heart of this change and the new brand for the partnership was also launched at an event attended by over 80 people at Lambeth Town Hall. People came from voluntary sector organisations, the NHS and the Council to mark this exciting appointment, brand and catalyst for partnership working.
Presentations from key Lambeth Together partners, including Certitude, NHS Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust, Lambeth Council and Lambeth CCG on the day gave a brief overview of the work so far and set out the vision for Lambeth Together in the future. Andrew Eyres said: “I am very excited to have been given this opportunity to lead Lambeth Together. I consider it both a huge responsibility and privilege to be asked to lead on this exciting journey. I look forward to working with elected and GP members, partners, staff and local people.”
While looking at the future of our work in the borough, it is also important to recognise the great work that is taking place already.
To recognise people across the borough who go the extra mile to provide exceptional health and care support and services to people in Lambeth, we also launched the 2019 Lammy Awards. Local heroes make Lambeth a great place to live and work and ensure the best health outcomes for Lambeth people.
We invite people living and working in Lambeth to nominate in any of the eight award categories. You can find out more at lambethccg.nhs.uk.
