Half-term community health and wellbeing days in Lambeth
Community health and wellbeing days are taking place across Lambeth this half-term. Running from 12 to 19 February, the local events offer residents an opportunity to access health and wellbeing information and support closer to home.
Throughout the week, the walk-in events enable individuals and families to speak to professionals regarding their health, wellbeing, and financial support needs. A healthcare professional will be on-hand to answer general health questions and administer free flu vaccinations to those aged 50 and over, or with an underlying health condition. Blood pressure checks for those aged 18+ and Covid-19 testing kits are available. Weight management support will also be available at the Hill Mead and Glenbrook events.
If you’re aged 12 or over, you can also access your Covid-19 vaccine. It is never to later to come forward for your first, second or booster dose. Experienced clinicians will be able to reassure anyone who is nervous, and answer questions to help you decide to take the vaccine. You don’t need to be registered with a GP (though staff can help you to find one) and you don’t need to provide proof of address.
These events are open to anyone in the local area on a walk-in basis; however, you are welcome to book your Covid-19 vaccination online too, to reduce waiting time and ensure there is enough supply on the day you attend.
