Programme Lead, Lambeth Together Children and Young People's Alliance

Karen’s role as CYP Alliance Programme Lead involves reviewing policies and operational plans from NHS England and the South London Integrated Care System. Communicating the themes across CYP, embedding the ambitions for reducing health inequalities and developing prevention services with the partner alliances in Lambeth Together. Providing Programme Management advice and support to the CYP Alliance Leadership Team members.

Over her 25 year career within London Local Authorities, she’s worked in senior management roles across Children’s and Adults’ Health & Social Care and Head of Business Planning and Programmes in Housing Management.

Karen’s key work achievements include developing specialist educational and work support programmes for homeless families, design and implementation of a service improvement programme within a Children’s Services Social Care Dept. And Programme Lead for operational processes re-design within an Adults’ Social Care Dept.

Growing up in Lambeth and Southwark Karen witnessed the difference that well designed, person-centred services can make to the quality of life. She wants to continue to be part of that driving force for social improvement and will always search out challenging initiatives. She’s very proud to be part of the many programmes of work aimed at improving life for all residents of Lambeth.

Outside of work Karen loves live concerts and travel and has recently completed a reflexology course in lockdown and a course in Aromatherapy.
