  1. We’re pleased to consult on a draft strategic sexual and reproductive health and HIV strategy for 2025-2030, which sets out key priorities to strengthen sexual and reproductive health services across south east London.

The new joint strategy sets out the priorities and goals for improving sexual health and wellbeing across the five boroughs with a focus on prevention and reducing health inequalities.

  2. Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bromley, and Bexley have some of the most significant sexual health inequalities in London, marked by high rates of HIV and STIs, particularly among young people, MSM, and BME communities. Following user feedback, a major revamp of the region’s Find Sexual Health website aims to improve access to services, providing timely and efficient support to help bridge these gaps.

  3. People living in Lambeth can get faster, potentially life-changing liver scans closer to where they live thanks to a new pilot scheme. Guy’s and St Thomas’ Liver Care Service is offering people with signs of liver disease a quick and convenient scan, known as a Fibroscan, without the need to wait for a hospital appointment.

  4. We’re delighted to announce that the Type 2 Take 2 programme and the Lambeth/Southwark Young Adults Diabetes services have won the ‘Young People’s Service Award’ at the Diabetes UK Conference in March for the second consecutive year. The programme demonstrates how a collaborative approach can provide meaningful support and drive real, lasting change.
