Welcome and introduction

I’m incredibly honoured to have contributed to the Neighbourhood and Wellbeing Delivery Alliance (NWDA) progress in the last year, particularly given the many challenges posed by an ever-increasing demand on services. Our communities, staff, systems and resources have faced significant difficulties and shown remarkable resilience.
This progress report highlights some of the NWDA’s achievements in the last year, sharing what we’ve learned and how we’ll use this to shape our priorities for improving the health and well-being of our community over the next 12 months.
The NWDA continues to make great strides in working to tackle health inequalities amongst Lambeth residents. This past year has given us chances to make more positive changes. Through Lambeth Together we’ve formed strong partnerships – for example with voluntary and community organisations representing the needs of Latin American as well as Somali communities. These partnerships across the borough have helped us better understand how residents use health and care services, what their main concerns are, and what kind of support is needed to lead healthy lives.
Looking ahead, we’ll keep talking to our residents and the wealth of community organisations working across our neighbourhoods, to keep improving the services that matter to you. We will also continue to scrutinise all the factors that influence the health of the whole community. Together, these strategies will guide our ambitions for the coming year. And make sure everyone in Lambeth can feel confident in the care they receive.
