Lambeth Council is hosting its second free Ageing Well festival at the Kia Oval on 5 October 2024, from 11am to 3pm to celebrate the commitment to becoming an age friendly borough. It will be a fun and social day with information and advice stalls, activities, food and entertainment tailored to residents aged 50 and older.

Lambeth and Southwark have a thriving LGBTQ+ community. But many people who identify as LGBTQIA+ report feeling isolated, misunderstood, and unsupported, leading to increased levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.
A local mental health charity has recognised this urgent need and has taken urgent action by successfully securing funding for a new wellbeing group: Queer Minds.

Over the weekend, we hosted a marquee at the Lambeth Country Show, alongside Active Lambeth, providing information on a range of health and care services for residents. The marquee drew in visitors keen to take advantage of free blood pressure checks and valuable advice from staff across the Borough’s health and care partnership.

Join ‘the big squeeze’ on the bus this May!
May Measure Month is a global campaign to screen for high blood pressure. To support this, the Lambeth Together Health and Wellbeing bus will be hosting additional free, drop-in blood pressure checks, with advice from pharmacists and health champions.
