  1. Hundreds of Lambeth residents from Black African and Caribbean communities enjoyed an afternoon of health information, health checks and conversation last month in Streatham in an event organised by local GP practices.

    Offering a holistic view of health and wellbeing 

    A wide range of organisations were at the event to offer holistic support to local people to improve their health and wellbeing.

  2. This Cervical Screening Awareness Week (19 – 24 June 2023), the NHS is encouraging anyone who has received an invitation for cervical screening to book their appointment now.

    Our health, Our Lambeth (Lambeth’s five year health and Care plan) sets out how Lambeth health and care services will work to ensure that people receive early diagnosis and support for physical health conditions.

  3. With funding from South East London Integrated Care System (ICS), Lambeth Council is overseeing a new funding programme as part of its work to improve health in the borough with other health and care organisations in the Lambeth Together partnership. The  Neighbourhood Wellbeing Delivery Alliance (NWDA) Health Inequalities Community Fund is open to applications for programmes of work that will address and tackle health inequalities within Lambeth  communities and improve outcomes for all.

  4. Taking place from 5 June – 11 June, Carers Week is about recognising unpaid carers and their valuable contribution to our community. In Lambeth over 18,000 residents are looking after a friend, partner or family member who has an illness, disability, or addiction.
