  1. Social Prescribing Day, celebrated annually on 19 March, is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the transformative impact of social prescribing on health and wellbeing. In Lambeth, social prescribing is a crucial element of community health, embedding social prescribers into GP practices and using their networking expertise to reach into specialist health and care services and provide holistic care.

  2. The Neighbourhood and Wellbeing Delivery Alliance is pleased to publish its latest progress report. Looking back over 2024, it showcases the collaborative efforts of partners across social care, NHS, and voluntary & community sector to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in Lambeth.

  3. This year’s No Smoking Day, Wednesday 12 March, is fast approaching. The 2025 theme is ‘taking back your life’, offering a timely reminder of all smokers stand to gain from quitting.

    Striking new research shows that on average, a smoker loses approximately 20 minutes of their life for every cigarette they smoke and that the average smoker can save around £48 a week when they give up.

  4. Last week, Lambeth’s Hills, Brook and Dale Primary Care Network and the Eve Appeal welcomed local residents to an open discussion and workshop on womb cancer at Goodwin Hall in West Norwood. This workshop is part of a series organised across south east London by South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA), promoting screening for womb cancer, cervical cancer and prostate cancer.
