Today marks the launch of Mental Health Awareness Week, the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health. The week, which is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, is in its 22nd year and runs from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 May.

On Wednesday 23 March we presented a review of our Covid-19 recovery plans at the Lambeth Together Care Partnership Board. The review reflected on the past 18 months, focusing on how we have responded as a health and care system to the ongoing challenges from the pandemic, lessons learned, and our next steps as a partnership.

Leaders of Lambeth’s NHS, council and voluntary and community organisations have recorded a video of their pledge which describes how they will work as the Lambeth Together Care Partnership to improve health and care and reduce health inequalities in the borough.

Self Care Week helps to raise awareness of what we can all do to improve our physical health and mental wellbeing. Incorporating the practice of self-care into our everyday lives can help us to live as healthily as possible.
The week is a perfect time to think about how we live our lives and maybe make some small changes that will help us take better care of ourselves and our families, especially as winter approaches.
