On Saturday March 15 2025, Lambeth Town Hall was abuzz with energy and excitement as the SHERO event unfolded, dedicated to reclaiming Black women’s and family health. The event brought together a vibrant community of attendees, speakers, and performers, all united by a common goal: to empower and educate about sexual and reproductive health in the Black community.

During HIV Testing Week – 10-16 February – Lambeth is joining others to encourage uptake of testing for HIV, share its benefits, and signpost residents to how they can get free and confidential testing.
Though fewer people are being diagnosed with HIV, late diagnoses remain an issue, and some individuals are still unaware they have the virus.

From Monday 3 February 2025, Lambeth’s Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) Hub Service will be located at Raleigh Gardens (Brixton Hill). The service will be delivered by MSI Reproductive Choices and will replace the service provided at the Akerman Health Centre.

The Streatham Hill sexual health clinic has been closed and has now moved to Minnie Kidd House in south Clapham. Their new address is: 1st Floor, 51c Hazelbourne Road, Clapham South, London, SW12 9NU.
Sexual health clinics are free and available to everyone, no matter your age, gender, ethnicity or sexuality.
